The event is a conversation and panel debate focusing on the responsibility of equal access in cultural heritage and art through the launch and presentation of the project ‘Mapping Disability Access to Danish Art Spaces’ by UKK Art Workers with Disabilities ( @ukk.community)
‘Art Beyond Barriers’ is an event series promoting inclusivity and diverse voices in art and architecture and our built environment.
In September 2023, we hosted the first event in collaboration with UKK Art Workers with Disabilities with the generous support from re:arc institute ( @rearc.institute )
This second event in this series is the result of a fruitful collaboration between UKK Art Workers with Disabilities (@ukk.community ), the department of Universal Design at BUILD – Aalborg University ( @rumsans ), O—Overgaden ( @overgaden_ ) and Building Diversity.
The event is free and open to everyone, but we would appreciate you letting us know if you plan to participate—so we can prepare accordingly. The link to the event and RSVP is in our bio.
The event will take place at the Royal Danish Academy in Auditorium 2, Danneskiold-Samsøes Allé 53, 1434 Copenhagen on Tuesday, 21st of May 2024 at 17.00-19.30. After the event drinks and food will be offered.
The venue is accessible with accessible toilets and there is accessible parking secured in the area of the entrance. During the event there will also be breaks and time to rest. Reach out to us if you have any questions.
