This has been a yearlong dream that has now come to fruition after much dedicated work. We are so excited to finally be able to share it with you and we can’t wait to hear your thoughts and continue the discussion!
Thank you to all the contributors for being part of this and trusting us with your thoughts, ideas and work.
Thank you to the @danisharchitecturalpressand Kristoffer Lindhardt Weiss for believing in the idea from the beginning and guiding us through the process.
Thank you to @dreyersfond and the @statenskunstfond for generously supporting the project.
Thank you to @hanskmunk for taking care of creating a graphic design that reflects our intention with the book.
It would not have been possible without all of you!
who is the architect? might seem, at first glance, to frame a rhetorical question, exposing the need to redefine and challenge the figure of the architect without expecting concrete answers. The dominating notion of the architect has historically been constructed as that of a single genius, traditionally perceived as an individualist, who realizes their full potential through their creations, image and social status. This notion is now being challenged by students, researchers, built environment theorists and practising architects.
